Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

At Quintero Golf Club, the health and safety of our guests, staff, and community is our highest priority, and we continue to monitor the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in our region. As such, we want to be proactive in providing some information and addressing the concern for the spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The staff at Quintero Golf Club is closely monitoring the situation, including the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and other Federal and State authorities.

The Coronavirus is a new virus that causes respiratory illness and can be spread from person to person. While much is not yet known, the virus should be taken seriously. Symptoms can occur in as few as 2 days or as long as 14 days after exposure and may include fever, cough or shortness of breath.

There are several precautionary measures to minimize the risk of infection and to avoid the spread of the disease;

  • Wash your hands often with soap and hot water.
  • Use an alcohol based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with tissue or sleeve when you sneeze or cough.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Stay at home if you are sick. Restrict activities outside your home with exception for seeking medical care.

In addition to the measures above, Quintero Golf Club is increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting throughout our facilities. A significant emphasis will be paid to high traffic areas, particularly points of regular contact, including golf carts, handles, doorknobs, etc. Club staff have been instructed to stay home from work should they become ill with any flu, cold, fever, dry cough, body aches or similar symptoms.

  • Golf carts are being sanitized in between uses.
  • Guests will have the option of having a golf cart per person instead of per two persons.
  • Attendants sanitize hands in between handling of golf bags. If preferred, Guests may handle golf bags themselves.
  • Guests may call ahead to pay if preferred to minimize any person to person interaction.
  • Golf is one of the few open air activities that can be safe while maximizing social distancing.

We will continue to monitor updates and changes from the CDC and other agencies as information becomes available.

Sincerely, Mike Poe General Manager Quintero Golf Club
